Together with a private guide, at your disposal for the entire day, you will visit Pompeii and the Archaeological Museum in Naples.

Pompeii was buried under several feet of ash and rocks by the dramatic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius on August 24, 79 A.D. Its historical preservation offers present day visitors the chance to walk down Roman streets and snoop around millennia-old houses, temples, shops, cafes, amphitheatres, and even a brothel.

The Naples Archaeological Museum houses a stunning collection of Greek and Roman artifacts; one of the greatest in the world. Here you will admire most of the finds from the excavations in Pompeii and Herculaeum, including mosaics and frescos, day-to-day ancient Roman objects and a secret room which displays remarkable erotic art from the Roman period.

You will also enjoy a typical pizza lunch that will be served together with drinks and a dessert.

What should I wear for this tour?

We suggest that you wear comfortable walking shoes as there is quite a bit of walking involved on uneven surfaces.

Is this tour accessible for people with limited walking abilities?

The itinerary can certainly be customised according to your needs, but please note that some areas may not be accessible with a stroller/wheelchair or for people with limited walking abilities.

What is your back to port policy?

We have a back to port policy of at least 1 hour prior to the last scheduled boarding time for the ship.

What type of vehicle will be used for our tour?

We provide services in luxury Mercedes and Volkswagen sedans, minivans or minibuses (depending on availability). For parties of 1-3 guests we normally use a sedan. For parties of 4-8 guests we use minivans. And for parties larger than 8 guests we either use multiple minivans or a minibus (depending upon availability).

Everything about this excursion was absolutely wonderful! Our driver, Luca met up right at the pier after we got our our cruise ship. He drove some crazy roads and took us to see some amazing places, the highlight being a restaurant on a cliff overlooking the sea. It is probably one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen! Pompeii was very interesting and it was so amazing to have our own private guide. She made it so much more fun and interesting for our 11 year old son. Luca was an absolute joy to have as a driver and he made this trip so much more amazing! I would highly recommend this company for anyone on a Mediterranean cruise. The only regret I have is not using them for other excursions throughout Italy.
