You will visit Pompeii, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. This town, once a flourishing city and a commercial hub, came to a premature end due to the dramatic eruption of Vesuvius on August 24, 79 A.D. Today you will have the chance to walk down ancient Roman streets and explore millennia-old houses, temples, shops, cafes, amphitheatres, and even a brothel.

You will have time in Positano, "the Jewel of the Amalfi Coast". This small village will enchant you with its unique vertical skyline and its stunning panoramas. Take a walk among the beautiful maze of alleys and steps with small shops displaying the typical products of local crafts, or simply enjoy a drink down on the beach.

You will stop in Amalfi, the main town of the coast. You will have time to stroll around the town and shop for handmade Amalfi paper, bottles of local limoncello, and of course ceramics, or visit the striking Cathedral that bears Moorish influences, visible in the arches and decorations.

What should I wear for this tour?

We suggest that you wear comfortable walking shoes as there is quite a bit of walking involved on uneven surfaces.

What should I wear if I want to visit some religious sites?

If you intend to visit religious sites, please have knees and shoulders covered (both men and women).

Where and how will I find the driver at Naples port?

Your driver will be waiting for you outside of the cruise ship terminal (just outside the white building) holding a sign with your name written on it.

Where and how will I find the driver at Salerno port?

Your driver will be waiting for you at the gangway of your cruise ship holding a sign with your name written on it.

Where and how will I find the driver at Sorrento port?

Your driver will be waiting for you right where the cruise tender will drop you off, holding a sign with your name written on it.

Where and how will I find the driver at Amalfi port?

Your driver will be waiting for you right where the cruise tender will drop you off, holding a sign with your name written on it.

What is your back to port policy?

We have a back to port policy of at least 1 hour prior to the last scheduled boarding time for the ship.

What type of vehicle will be used for our tour?

We provide services in luxury Mercedes and Volkswagen sedans, minivans or minibuses (depending on availability). For parties of 1-3 guests we normally use a sedan. For parties of 4-8 guests we use minivans. And for parties larger than 8 guests we either use multiple minivans or a minibus (depending upon availability).

While on a cruise around Italy, my wife and I were able to join a tour by Joe Banana Limos for 7 people around Sorrento, Positano, and Pompeii. Being on a cruise, we were under a time crunch to ensure a return at the appropriate time, so our tour needed to allocate the appropriate time to / from the port. Our driver, Nunzio, picked us up at the port, laid out our itinerary (with time), and provided history on the area. The van was nice, with AC and a HotSpot for internet. Overall, the trip was very smooth with his guidance, ensuring the appropriate time allocation for each stop, a great restaurant choice with astounding views of Positano and good food, and an on time arrival at the ship. All 3 of these stops are amazing to see - I would highly recommend it!

This company is excellent for those arriving by cruise ship. We booked the all inclusive tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast for a group of 6. Paolo was waiting for us at the pier with a brand new Mercedes van (sweet!) that was immaculate. After discussing and deciding on our options for the day we set off for Pompeii. Paolo kept us in stitches during the drive telling us about Italians and their driving habits (did you know that a stop sign is "stoptional" in Italy?) He is a certified guide at Pompeii (impressive) and gave us an excellent tour with interesting tidbits about life during that time. Then on to Positano and Sorrento, stopping along the way for photos and an interesting roadside stand and lunch. Lunch was unbelievable. The restaurant is perched on the side of the mountain overlooking the ocean. Food was served family style with primi, secondi and unlimited wine! The service, view and food were outstanding. We were back to the ship in plenty of time. Joe Banana is a well run company and if you're lucky, you'll have Paolo for your guide. We also used them in Messina and had a great experience there also.

Our group of 8 went on the Pompeii, Positano, Amalfi tour on 6/22/18 out of the Naples port. We were met at the port by our driver Massimo. Massimo was FANTASTIC! He made our day so very memorable! Our group had so much fun with him. He gave us so much history of the area, told us so many interesting facts, and brought us to so many wonderful places. As soon as we got in the van he asked us what we wanted to do, where was most important for us to see and tailored our day to meet OUR needs and wants. His suggestion for lunch was just perfect. During the day he kept making sure of what we wanted to do next, making suggestions and letting us decide what we wanted to do. I just can't stress enough how much fun we had seeing this absolutely stunning area of Italy. The views were just breathtaking. Massimo gave us many opportunities to stop and take pictures along with time spent in Positano and Amalfi to wonder the streets and shop. I would highly recommend this tour, no doubt they have other wonderful drivers but we just loved Massimo! Before I end I must also give credit to our personal tour guide in Pompeii, her name was Flavia. She met us outside of the entrance of Pompeii and gave our group such wonderful insight to the ruins and life in Pompeii. We learned so much from her! We debated about touring the ruins ourselves without a guide and are so glad we chose to use one. Joe Banana tours, awesome job, great employess! Highly recommend
