Travel back in time starting directly frome the gangway of your cruise ship!

You driver at your disposal for the day will escort you to this unforgettable experience, stopping in Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mt. Vesuvius.

Pompeii is one of the most important archaeological site in the world, UNESCO heritage site since 1997. The sudden violent eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. covered everything under a deep layer of ash and rocks, freeezing in time most of what was underneath, and giving the chance to today visitors to explore a Roman town in its entirety.

Herculaneum instead, was coverded by a deep layer of mud which hardened and perfectly preserved the houses, shops, villas and frescoes beneath. You will admire thousands of everyday life objects, such as price lists outside shops to wooden doors, beds to even fruits and small jewelry!

You will also have the opportunity to see the volcano responsible for this catastrophe: Mt. Vesuvius. The breathtaking panorama of the entire Gulf of Naples from the volcano's crater will compensate for the short, somewhat strenuous, hike needed to reach it.

What should I wear for this tour?

We suggest that you wear comfortable walking shoes as there is quite a bit of walking involved on uneven surfaces.

Is this tour accessible for people with limited walking abilities?

The itinerary can certainly be customised according to your needs, but please note that some areas may not be accessible with a stroller/wheelchair or for people with limited walking abilities.

Which pickup time do you suggest from the port?

We suggest that you set an early pickup time, 7:30 am (in accordance with your ship's in port hours), in order for you to avoid the local rush hour traffic and have more time to enjoy your service to the fullest.

Where and how will I find the driver at Naples port?

Your driver will be waiting for you outside of the cruise ship terminal (just outside the white building) holding a sign with your name written on it.

Where and how will I find the driver at Salerno port?

Your driver will be waiting for you at the gangway of your cruise ship holding a sign with your name written on it.

Where and how will I find the driver at Sorrento port?

Your driver will be waiting for you right where the cruise tender will drop you off, holding a sign with your name written on it.

Where and how will I find the driver at Amalfi port?

Your driver will be waiting for you right where the cruise tender will drop you off, holding a sign with your name written on it.

What is your back to port policy?

We have a back to port policy of at least 1 hour prior to the last scheduled boarding time for the ship.

What type of vehicle will be used for our tour?

We provide services in luxury Mercedes and Volkswagen sedans, minivans or minibuses (depending on availability). For parties of 1-3 guests we normally use a sedan. For parties of 4-8 guests we use minivans. And for parties larger than 8 guests we either use multiple minivans or a minibus (depending upon availability).

Our driver Tony and authorized guide Rosemary made an excellent pair, taking our family through the archeological sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii, and then to the top of Vesuvius. We had enjoyable and interesting conversation with Tony, who was an excellent driver. Rosemary made the archeological tours so much more informative than just seeing the sites yourself (which I've done on a previous trip). I highly recommend this tour.

My family and recently finished another amazing trip to Italy. We did and extensive day of touring with our private guide, Paolo! (whom i may add is now more a friend of the family). He spent almost 12 hrs taking us to Pompeii, Herculaneam, limoncello factory, lunch and a climb up Vesuvius. Amazing man, amazing day. i will forever think of him when I have ice cream brioche!
