You will visit Pompeii, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. This Roman town is incredibly well-preserved as it was buried deep under ash and rocks during the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. You will have time to visit its old houses and temples, while walking down millennia-old streets.

You will enjoy a relaxing drive along the Amalfi Coast, making photo stops along the way before reaching Positano. You will have time to visit this small village, famous for its unique colorful skyline and stunning panoramas. Do not miss the chance to shop for some local crafts, such as the fresh linen dresses in style "Positano fashion", leather sandals, colorful ceramics and limoncello.

You will stop in Sorrento, a charming resort town blessed with breath-taking panoramas that inspired many poets and songwriters throughout history. Take a relaxing stroll in the historic section, where there are many boutiques and colourful shops offering everything from leather goods, ceramics, jewellery and all things lemon, or simply have a coffee in the main piazza.

What should I wear for this tour?

We suggest that you wear comfortable walking shoes as there is quite a bit of walking involved on uneven surfaces.

What should I wear if I want to visit some religious sites?

If you intend to visit religious sites, please have knees and shoulders covered (both men and women).

Is this tour accessible for people with limited walking abilities?

The itinerary can certainly be customised according to your needs, but please note that some areas may not be accessible with a stroller/wheelchair or for people with limited walking abilities.

Where and how will I find the driver at Naples port?

Your driver will be waiting for you outside of the cruise ship terminal (just outside the white building) holding a sign with your name written on it.

Where and how will I find the driver at Salerno port?

Your driver will be waiting for you at the gangway of your cruise ship holding a sign with your name written on it.

Where and how will I find the driver at Sorrento port?

Your driver will be waiting for you right where the cruise tender will drop you off, holding a sign with your name written on it.

Your driver will be waiting for you right where the cruise tender will drop you off, holding a sign with your name written on it.

What is your back to port policy?

We have a back to port policy of at least 1 hour prior to the last scheduled boarding time for the ship.

What type of vehicle will be used for our tour?

We provide services in luxury Mercedes and Volkswagen sedans, minivans or minibuses (depending on availability). For parties of 1-3 guests we normally use a sedan. For parties of 4-8 guests we use minivans. And for parties larger than 8 guests we either use multiple minivans or a minibus (depending upon availability).

On our 9 day cruise of the Med. this was the best shore excursion. Massimo was informative, pleasant and a great driver facing exceptional driving challenges on the Amalfo coast roads. We loved Sorrento with the wider roads for walking, nice cafes and good shopping. Positano was more crowded and hectic. It also helped that we had a harmonious group of 6 women and one man, my hubby!

We arrived in Salerno on the Celebrity Equinox on October 20. The reservation was for 8 passengers, tour SAL 004 to Sorrento, Pompeii and Positano. Our group met on the ship then disembarked together. The vehicle was right there at the gangway. Everything was as expected, no surprises. At Pompeii, we were handed off to a very knowledgeable local guide, and at the end of the tour, we were handed back to our vehicle. We had plenty of time at all three stops to shop, eat, and, of course, have gelato!
