Full Description

Siena: A Step Back in Time
Your journey begins in the captivating town of Siena, a place where history and art come together in perfect harmony. Known for its medieval architecture, Siena is also famous for its 17 contrade—small, colorful neighborhoods that each have their own distinct identity and traditions. These contrade are an integral part of Siena’s culture, especially when it comes to the historic Palio di Siena, the thrilling horse race that has taken place in Piazza del Campo every summer for centuries. As you stroll through the charming streets, you’ll find yourself immersed in the town’s incredible sense of tradition, from its medieval buildings to its lively cultural events. Be sure to stop by Piazza del Campo, the city’s heart, and take in the stunning architecture while perhaps visiting one of the renowned contrada districts, where you can learn about their unique customs and history.

San Gimignano: A Medieval Marvel
Next, you’ll visit San Gimignano, another gem of Tuscany known for its stunning skyline of towering medieval towers. This town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is often referred to as the “Manhattan of the Middle Ages” due to the remarkable number of towers built by wealthy families as a sign of power and prestige. As you wander through the narrow cobbled streets of San Gimignano, you’ll encounter charming squares, artisan shops, and breathtaking views over the Tuscan countryside. The town is also famous for its production of Vernaccia di San Gimignano, a crisp, white wine that’s a must-try for any wine lover. Don't miss the chance to sample this local delight as you soak in the medieval atmosphere.

Wine Tasting and Light Lunch at a Tuscan Podere
To top off your Tuscan adventure, you’ll visit a local Podere, a traditional Tuscan farm estate where you’ll be treated to an authentic wine tasting experience. As you sip and savor, you’ll sample 4-5 locally produced wines, each carefully crafted to reflect the unique terroir of the region. Alongside the wines, you'll also taste several varieties of extra virgin olive oil, a true Tuscan specialty. After the tasting, indulge in a light lunch featuring a selection of bruschettas, cured meats, and locally produced cheeses, all made with the finest ingredients. Vegetarian options are available to ensure that everyone can enjoy the flavors of Tuscany’s incredible cuisine.

We reserve the right to adjust the order of visits based on timing and availability.

This tour provides the perfect opportunity to unwind, savor delicious food and wine, and experience the timeless beauty of Tuscany at a relaxed pace. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a wine lover, or simply someone who enjoys the pleasures of life, this day will leave you with cherished memories of Italy’s most enchanting region.
