Legend says that those black rocks rising out of the sea known as the Cyclops Riviera, very peculiar in this area, were thrown by Cyclop Poliphemus in a desperate attempt to stop Odysseus from escaping. You will enjoy this scenic drive and visit the small towns of Aci Trezza, Aci Catena and Acireale. Plus, make sure to have a taste of the local granita di limone!

Enjoyed our day seeing the sights of Sicily-Cyclops, Catania and Acireale-picturesque coastline, an amazing church were amongst the highlights.Was great not be in crowded touristy spots. Our guide was informative and spoke fluent English, we were collected on time at the dock. Would highly recommend if you’d like to get away from the crowd if docke$ in Messina for the day.
