You will visit a cheese factory in Parma, home town of one of the most famous cheese of the world: the Parmigiano Reggiano!
Here you have the opportunity to discover this unique cheese and the people who work every day on its production and on the preservation of tradition. During the guided tour of the dairy you can learn the secrets of cheese making and taste the product.
It start from the production room and continue along the special corridor designed to allow you to see all the stages of the production process up close. The guided tour will continue through the pre-salting rooms, the salting room which (contains over 2.100 wheels) and the hot room. We will then visit the warehouse, containing 33.570 forms of Parmigiano Reggiano, and we will see the packaging laboratory, where they are cut and packaged.
To complete the guided tour, the icing of the cake awaits you in the tasting room, where the different maturations of our Parmigiano Reggiano DOP will be explained and tasted, as well as other typical products selected in combination with the maturing of the cheese.
Next stop: balsamic vinegar farm in Modena!
During this tour you will discover the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena with a complete visit of the farm, and a tasting of balsamic vinegars with a selection of cold cuts and cheeses and a glass of Lambrusco wine! You will also taste a balsamic vinegar 100 years old!
In the splendid setting of the Romagna countryside, you can discover the secrets of Modena's Black Gold and taste the products of the local tradition.
