Explore Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii in total relaxation and at your own pace!

You will stop in Pompeii and have time to visit this important archaeological site. The dramatic eruption of Vesuvius on August 24, 79 A.D. destroyed this flourishing city, but also preserved a slice of ancient Roman life. You will walk down Roman streets and see millennia-old houses, temples, shops, cafes, amphitheatres, and even a brothel.

You will visit Sorrento, a beautiful town where you will have time to take a stroll, especially through the historic section, where there are many boutiques and colourful shops offering everything from leather goods, ceramics, jewelery and all things lemon, or have something to drink in one of the many cafes all around.

You will enjoy the Amalfi drive, making photo stops along the way and ultimately reach Amalfi. This historical town, whose origins date back to the Romans, continues to enchant visitors just like it did in the days of the Grand Tour with its perfect balance of culture and natural beauty. Shop for handmade Amalfi paper, bottles of local limoncello, and of course ceramics, as you wander around its beautiful maze of streets or visit the striking Cathedral that bears Moorish influences, visible in the arches and decorations.

Great tour, well organized. Also, the train journey saves a lot of time. The ruins os Pompeii are amazing and Sorrento is beautiful, and gives us a taste of the Amalfi coast. We had lunch overlooking the bay of Naples! We had 1 full day in Sorrento in mid-September and chose this trip and are glad we did. To see the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii, a person could spend a couple of weeks, but with 1 day, we felt this trip gave us a good overview of the region. Our tour guide Roberta was excellent and knowledgeable and her English was easy to understand. There was a lot of traffic the day we were there and we were running behind schedule but she said we wouldn't skip any of the planned stops - we really appreciated that attitude!

The van for our group for Pompeii, Sorrento & Amalfi Coast with Italytours EU in May was great!. We had a great driver who was quite personable. He took us to Pompeii and hooked us up with our expert guide through the ruins. She really knew a lot and made it most educational, fun, interesting. She gave us time for pictures. I didn't feel rushed. I really enjoyed it. When we got back to our driver he gave us plenty of time for restroom calls before beginning the Amalfi Coast drive to Sorrento. He was very informative. He had a stop for us to get snacks and take pictures. In Sorrento he told us a great place he said he dined at .... and some of us dined there (and so did he). He took us to the lemon grove ... and then on the way back to the Lemonchello factory. I can highly recommend them. I will use them again next time.
