Get the best of the area in an awesome one day tour!

You will have time in Pompeii, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. This city was buried deeply under ash and rocks during the untimely eruption of Mt. Vesuvius on 79 A.D. It was so well preserved, that today it is still possible to walk down its ancient Roman streets and visit old houses, temples, shops, cafes, amphitheatres, and even a brothel.

You will stop in Positano, famous worldwide for its unique skyline of colourful homes and its stunning panoramas. You will have time to enjoy a stroll around this small village and shop for local crafts, such as the fresh linen dresses in style "Positano fashion", the leather sandals, the colorful ceramics and limoncello.

You will visit Amalfi, the main town of the Coast whose origins date back to the Romans. Enjoy a coffee in the main "Piazzetta", visit the Cathedral or shop for handmade Amalfi paper, bottles of local limoncello, and of course, ceramics.

What should I wear for this tour?

We suggest that you wear comfortable walking shoes as there is quite a bit of walking involved on uneven surfaces.

What should I wear if I want to visit some religious sites?

If you intend to visit religious sites, please have knees and shoulders covered (both men and women).

Is this tour accessible for people with limited walking abilities?

The itinerary can be certainly customised according to your needs, but please note that some areas may not be accessible with a stroller/wheelchair or for people with limited walking abilities.

Our custom three-week tour through Italy with Joe Banana was the trip of a lifetime! Milena arranged an amazing itinerary that covered everything on our wish list, even a private kayak experience in Sorrento. Our driver, Stefano, picked us up in Tuscany, and kept us laughing as we travelled to Cinque Terre, Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano and Rome, to name a few of the spots we visited. A highlight of the trip was our private boat tour around Capri. We loved the Parco dei Principi in Sorrento and wish we had allowed for more down time to enjoy our time there. We built a customized tour with Joe Banana that was centered around Sorento / Amalfi / Pompei / Rome / Vatican City. It was an INCREDIBLE trip. Everyone we interacted with from Joe Banana was great. Our main driver Raffaele and main contact Milena were always above and beyond and the fact that we found our own VRBO places to stay and Joe Banana worked that in so easily made it even better! Our local guides in Rome and Pompei were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and we even planned a private boat day with our Captain Luigi out to Capri (HUGE BONUS)! All in all would HIGHLY recommend Joe Banana and will absolutely use them again for our next visit to a different part of Italy!

We had a wonderful tour of Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii last June. Bruno was our driver and he was lovely! He was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. He provided commentary and kept us entertained the whole day. I would definitely recommend this tour and Bruno especially. It was by far our favorite tour during our trip to Italy.

Oh what a wonderful experience we had. Manuel our guide met us at the Naples pier and we began our ride in a beautiful luxury van. Manuel told us the plan for the day and did a fantastic job driving for a young 25 year old engaging young man. He told us all about the areas and answered all our questions. We had a beautiful drive along the Amalfi coast to Positano making a few stops along the way for beautiful pictures and some local shopping- purchase Limoncello for sure!! We had time in Positano, then ventured to Sorrento where Manuel suggested a restaraunt for lunch, and then on to Pompeii. Joe Bananas/Italy tour sharing is a wonderful company to deal with- Maria from the company even called as we headed back to the ship and checked on how we enjoyed the tour. We used this company in Naples and Florence and I can't say enough about how wonderful it was and how safe I felt with their driving skills. We will use this company again if we are lucky enough to come back to Italy. You won't be disappointed.
