Visit the beautiful Tuscan Countryside directly from Rome!
You will visit Montepulciano, a beautiful medieval town located in the southern part of Tuscany. Here is where the famous Vino Nobile is produced, but there are also many historical attractions to visit, such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta that contains many masterpieces of the Senese school.
You will have time to explore Pienza, the “ideal city of Renaissance”, created by Pope Pius II following what he considered the Utopian City ideals. Today, Pienza is known as the Capital of Pecorino, a tasty cheese made from sheep’s milk.
Enjoy your drive along the Val d’Orcia, UNESCO World Cultural Landscapes since 2004, and be sure not to miss the opportunity to taste the delicious, locally produced wines there.
