One of Joe Banana's English speaking drivers will meet you at your accommodation in Positano for this fantastic day tour!

Your private driver will chauffeur you about a one hour, passing by the Sorrento Coast until we'll arrive at the ruins of Pompeii. This, the largest archaeological site in Europe, is the first stop on this day tour!

Part of an ancient Roman city destroyed and buried by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius in 79 A.D., you will have about two hours to explore the ruins of Pompeii by foot.

Archeological excavations are open to the public between the hours of 08:30 and 18:30 every day of the week.

After this amazing archeological experience, we will drive to our next destination of the day, Sorrento. To reach the famous town of Sorrento we will drive along the coastal road to its furthest point where spectacular views of the entire bay of Naples and the Island of Capri are revealed as the Amalfi coast road emerges from over the mountain cliff.

We will then stop right in the main square of Sorrento where you can have one hour or more to explore this wonderful town and your driver will be happy to suggest a location for a delicious lunch based on your preferences. This city has inherited the traditional Neapolitan pizza from their neighboring city of Naples, therefore the Pizzeria's in town are highly recommended.

Sorrento, next to the Amalfi Coast, is a major shopping centre for the local people as well as tourists.

After Sorrento, we will continue our drive along the Amalfi coast with the next stop being the town for which the area is name, Amalfi.

In front of the port of Amalfi, there is the one and only bus station along the coast and the shopping area lies just behind this. If you would like to steep yourself in Amalfi's history there are some interesting sights to explore. Two of the most spectacular are the cathedral situated along the coast and the paper mill museum. Behind this square lies the main shopping street of Amalfi, that terminates at the furthest and highest point of the town. Along the pedestrian street are various bars and cafés, not to mention the many shops selling limoncello, casual clothing, swimwear, gifts, basic groceries, and of course, ceramics.

After the visit in Amalfi, we'll drive about 40 minutes along the scenic Amalfi Coast to arrive back at your accommodation in Positano.
