All Inclusive Countryside with Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano

Code: JSAL019

One of Joe Banana’s English speaking drivers, will be waiting for you outside of the cruise ship terminal, holding a sign with your name on it.

During the drive by Naples your driver will give you information about the city and you will plan your day together with him.

We will then drive to our first destination, Sorrento, stopping right in the main square where (time dependent) you can have time to explore this beautiful resort town built as a terrace on the sea (the Mediterranean sea). Here you can shop in the quaint backstreets, have a delicious gelato or enjoy an expresso in a local café.

We will then transition to the Amalfi Coast where we will find ourselves driving down-hill directly through Positano. We will descend down the winding one-way road, passing by many picturesque houses and shops, ultimately arriving in the heart of the town, at "Piazza dei Mulini”.  This is the last point accessible by car, so you will park and walk downtown where all the streets lead to the shore.

Here you will have about one hour to discover this magnificent village denominated "The Jewel of The Amalfi Coast”. Positano has many unique things to see: the cathedral, ceramic shops, lemons, hand-made shoes and, of course, "Positano fashion”.

You will then drive to the countryside in order to reach “Frate Cosimo” restaurant where your table is waiting for you. There you will have the occasion to taste the real traditional cooking of our area with a touch of modernity that will make every dish special.  Firstly your will have the appetizers such as Parma ham, buffalo mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, eggplant parmigiana, tomato salad with fresh basil and many other things that you will certainly love.

Then we have the pasta (homemade!) like ravioli, cannelloni, gnocchi (of potato) and so many other options.  Save a little space for the delicious desserts that will conclude this tasty lunch together with a shot of limoncello (very famous lemon liquor made in Italy, peculiar from the Amalfi coast) which aids as a digestive.  All drinks are included and without limit, and even the wine is homemade!

Our last stop for the day will be Pompeii. Therei you will have the opportunity to tour one of the most important archeological sites in the world! Together with your private professionally licensed guide, you will explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site and be in awe as you see the remnants of this 1st century city which offer some insight into the Roman life that came to a premature stop here on 24 August AD 79.

After this memorable day, we will then drive back to the ship.

If we start our tour at 7:30/8:00 am we'll be back at ship by 4:30/5:00 pm.
