#JSAL001# All-Inclusive Tagliata, Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano
One of our English speaking drivers will be waiting for you at the gangway of your cruise in Salerno, holding a sign with your group name stated on it.
It'll take around 1 hour to reach Sorrento the land of lemons. Here you will have free time (about 50 min/1 hour) for a walk through the historical center visiting the old streets, where the alleys cross each other and create a very enjoyable grid. Old buildings with an intriguing architecture, churches, limoncello (lemon liquor) factories where you can first try and then, if you want, buy your yellow digestive drink, leather shops and inlaid woodwork shops.
You will than proceed to Positano, where you will admire the jewel of the Amalfi coast, a vertical town where the houses are set on the top of each other, where the road is considered one of the most beautiful drive in the world.
Your driver will stop at the closest parking spot to the center so you can walk through the alleys in the pedestrian area where all the local seamstresses hang their works out of the shops, you may reach the bottom looking at the art galleries, bougainvillea flower shelter and the typical restaurants on this awesome beach where you can see the steepest "hill of houses".
Just after leaving Positano, the group will stop for lunch in the nice "Trattoria" (local restaurant), La Tagliata. With over 40 years of experience preparing good quality food, this family run restaurant serves a complete meal in a divine location. Here you will enjoy an authentic italian meal, with appetizer of the day such as eggplant parmigiana, local ham, fresh mozzarella cheese, local tomatoes, fresh seasonal vegetables and than on with hand-made ravioli, gnocchi Sorrento style with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, and mamas pasta (sort of manicotti created from the lady who runs the restaurant). A mix of pastries will also follow and finally a limoncello shot will help you digest and move on to your next stop.
At this point you will head towards the last stop of your tour: Pompeii ruins. Here you will enjoy a professional guided tour to a city with 2500 years of history which is actually the best preserved ancient roman town in the world. See the stores, theaters, bath houses, markets, streets and much more than you can imagine about this city, which suddenly disappeared but is now giving us back the splendor it lost on August 24th of the 79 A.D.
It'll take less then 1 hour to go back to the ship, but in order to avoid traffic jams, the driver will advise on timings on the day of the tour.
We reserve the right to change the order in which we visit the sites.
