Travel back in time and discover the ancient Roman side of the area!

You will stop at the Naples Archaeological Museum, that houses one of the largest collections of Greek and Roman artefacts of the world. Here you will find most of what was found during the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaeum, including mosaics and frescos, day-to-day ancient Roman objects and even a secret room where remarkable erotic art from Roman period is displayed.

You will have time to visit Pompeii, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. The dramatic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. flash froze the entire town, burying it under ash and rocks, giving present-day visitors the chance to walk around millenia old streets and visit old houses and temples.

You will stop in Herculaneum, another incredibly well-preserved ancient Roman town. Here instead, the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius resulted in a deep layer of hot mud submerging the town, preserving not only buildings but also thousands of everyday objects, from price lists outside of shops, to beds, doors and even food.

What should I wear for this tour?

We suggest that you wear comfortable walking shoes as there is quite a bit of walking involved on uneven surfaces.

Is this tour accessible for people with limited walking abilities?

The itinerary can certainly be customised according to your needs, but please note that some areas may not be accessible with a stroller/wheelchair or for people with limited walking abilities.

Your driver will be waiting for you outside of the cruise ship terminal (just outside the white building) holding a sign with your name written on it.

Where and how will I find the driver at Sorrento port?

Your driver will be waiting for you right where the cruise tender will drop you off, holding a sign with your name written on it.

What is your back to port policy?

We have a back to port policy of at least 1 hour prior to the last scheduled boarding time for the ship.

What type of vehicle will be used for our tour?

We provide services in luxury Mercedes and Volkswagen sedans, minivans or minibuses (depending on availability). For parties of 1-3 guests we normally use a sedan. For parties of 4-8 guests we use minivans. And for parties larger than 8 guests we either use multiple minivans or a minibus (depending upon availability).

Not being able to resist the name, "Joe Banana Limos", I booked online a tour out of Naples for 4 people from a cruise ship. Not only was it exactly what we wanted, but it cost much less than the cruise sponsored tours. Our driver was knowledgeable and very nice. We were able to see Herculaneum, dine at the seashore near Sorrento, and visit Pompeii and in each case we had plenty of time to see and enjoy.
