During this amazing experience you will visit the enchanting places where Francis Ford Coppola shot "The Godfather".

Your private driver will escort you to Savoca, where you will have the chance to visit the famous “Bar Vitelli” and the church of St. Lucia, where the wedding between Michael and Apollonia took place.

You will reach Forza d’ Agrò, a pretty little medieval town, where you will surely recognize many of the locations where village life scenes were shot.

Taormina will offer you spectacular views and a lot of history. This resort town is famous for its mild climate and the world's best known ancient Greek ampitheatre, the second largest in Sicily, which continues to host performances today.

What should I wear for this tour?

We suggest that you wear comfortable walking shoes as there is quite a bit of walking involved on uneven surfaces.

What should I wear if I want to visit some religious sites?

If you intend to visit religious sites, please have knees and shoulders covered (both men and women).

What is your back to port policy?

We have a back to port policy of at least 1 hour prior to the last scheduled boarding time for the ship.

You will need to go out of the terminal onto your left hand side and follow the sign for private excursions, just opposite busses and taxis stand, and there you will fond your driver, holding a sign with your name written on it.

You will need to follow the yellow line out of the terminal and walk for just 40mt, your driver will be waiting just behind the busses, holding a sign with your name written on it.

We booked the Godfather Tour but it is so much more than that. Antonio, our guide, shared many insights into not only the movie sights, but Italian life in general. Arriving on a cruise ship, he was waiting at the dock and whisked us away to an awesome day. He even managed to make time for a stop at the clock tower in Messina, a nice treat. Antonio of Joe Banana met us promptly at the port in Messina and we were off in his spotless 8 psgr van on an all day adventure. Loved traveling thru the beautiful hill towns and reliving several movie scenes: Savoca, the bar in Forza d'Agro, and several churches. Antonio was one of the best guides I've had in traveling to over 75 countries! He was personable and funny! We also visited Castelmola, a darling village above Taormina. We enjoyed a couple of hours of free time for lunch and shopping in Taormina. Antonio truly made this tour one of the best on our 22 day cruise!
